El Asaltante and El Telón de Azúcar awarded at Lima Film Fest

Latinofusion wrapped up its Andean tour with two films awarded and two deals closed for theatrical release in Perú.
El Asaltante won the Second Prize from the Jury in the Opera Prima (First Feature) Official Section. In the Documentary section, also Camila Guzmán’s El Telón de Azúcar received the Second Prize from the Jury.
Que tan lejos by Tania Hermidawas among the public’s 5 most voted. The Audience Award went to the Brazilian O ano em que meus pais sairam de ferias.
At the closing ceremony, festival director Edgar Saba annouced the acquisition of 5 of the films showcased at the festival for commercial release in Perú by ElCine-Centro Cultural PUCP. Among them, Latinofusion’s El asaltante and El telón de azúcar.
